What does the package contain?
Japanese Mint: Japanese mint, known botanically as Mentha canadensis, is a species of mint native to both North America and East Asia. It has many uses, and the essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves and stems of the perennial plant. While similar to peppermint oil, Japanese mint essential oil has a higher percentage of the chemical constituent menthol, which gives the oil a stronger and more minty aroma. For this reason, Japanese mint is often chosen for commercial lozenges. From sweet treats to savory dishes, a drop of Japanese mint’s distinctiveness and flavor can enhance many dishes, providing refreshment with every bite.
Copaiba: Copaiba essential oil is derived from an aromatic tropical tree species native to South America. Indigenous people in North and Northeast Brazil have used Copaiba essential oil in their traditional remedies since the 16th century. Copaiba essential oil is widely used as an ingredient in cosmetics such as soaps, creams, lotions, and perfumes, taking advantage of its calming properties on the skin. Apply topically with a carrier oil or your moisturizer to help support visibly healthy-looking skin.
Bergamot Mint: Bergamot mint essential oil is extracted from a flowering perennial plant with violet flowers and heart-shaped leaves. Despite its name, bergamot mint is not related to the fruit also known as bergamot. Like lavender, the main constituents of bergamot mint are linalool and linalyl acetate. Blended with Fractionated Coconut Oil, it's ideal for a soothing and calming post-workout massage. Bergamot mint's lavender-like and minty aroma can be a wonderful addition to a warm, relaxing bath.
Tea Tree: Often referred to as "melaleuca," Tea Tree essential oil consists of over 92 different compounds and offers incredible topical applications. Australian aborigines have used tea tree leaves for centuries. They crushed them into a pulp and applied them directly to the skin for their cooling effect. It is most widely known for its cleansing and purifying properties. Its use leaves both nails and skin cleaner and more cared for, and it also contributes to maintaining a healthy complexion. Tea Tree is often used to soothe occasional skin irritations and calm the skin.
Blue Tansy: Blue Tansy or Moroccan Tansy is an annual Mediterranean plant with yellow flowers that grows in northern Morocco. The flowers of the tansy contain so many chemical constituents that your skin will not be able to get enough of them! One such chemical constituent is chamazulene, which gives Blue Tansy its distinctive indigo blue color. This essential oil is also known for its beneficial effects on the skin. Add a drop to a hot bath, use it with your favorite skincare products, or simply massage it into your skin!
Star Anise: Star anise is an evergreen tree native to Southeast Asia. It typically grows only 4–6 meters tall but can reach up to 20 meters in height. In Chinese culture, it is called "eight-angled anise" or simply "eight-angled" referring to its distinctive eight-follicle fruit. The main chemical constituent of star anise oil is anethole, which gives it the characteristic licorice-like aroma for which both star anise essential oil and the fruit of the plant are well-known. As a key ingredient in doTERRA ZenGest™ blend, star anise oil has beneficial effects when applied topically for stomach discomfort.
